Birth Doula Internship Application

The internship program at Bentonville Birth Services exists to connect newly trained doulas in the process of certification with their first few clients. Our program also provides intern doulas with vital mentorship: a preceptor for each client they work with and business coaching to help interns establish and grow a small business.

Interns agree to provide 3 Bentonville Birth Services clients with prenatal, birth, and post-birth doula support under the supervision of a Senior Level doula acting as preceptor. Interns will receive $300 per client and valuable prenatal, birth, and postpartum support experiences necessary to complete their certification requirements.

The following are requirements for potential interns. In order to be considered, please check that you have/can commit to the following:

Access to reliable transportation

Reliable internet connection

The ability to work on-call (often overnight at unpredictable intervals)

Attendance at once monthly intern meetings at the Bentonville Birth Services office
