The best childbirth education available in Northwest Arkansas! Our in-person class is 4 sessions that cover must-know material you won’t find anywhere else. Team taught by experienced doulas and childbirth educators, come with all your questions and walk away feeling empowered and excited for your upcoming birth.

1. Choices for Childbirth - the conversation most people miss!

Defining YOUR values and goals for birth, choosing your care team, informed consent and refusal, understanding the stages of labor, decision making and advocacy in the birth room. Navigating the system: learning the difference between medical necessity, evidence-based care, provider preference and hospital policy. And what it all means for your birth experience.

2. Labor Coping Skills - how to work with your labor (epidural or not!)

Understanding the mind-body connection, mindset and approaches for each stage of labor, breath work, movement, partner support and positions, meditation, effective pushing and the first moments after birth.

3. Common Interventions - the ins and outs of various tools available to you in labor.

In depth discussion of the benefits and risks of multiple procedures. Methods of induction, pharmaceutical pain relief options (including epidural), vacuum assisted delivery, caesarean section and more. Interventions are tools, and we want to prepare you to use the ones that make sense for your birth!

3. Baby's Here, Now What?!? - preparing for your 4th trimester.

Lactation education: latch, milk supply, common pitfalls and where to find help. Newborn behavior and baby care, infant sleep, birth recovery, understanding perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, relationship shifts in the postpartum period.

All classes are held at Renew Physical Therapy from 6-7:30pm.
